Brief History

Maramag Water District is a government owned and controlled corporation formed under Presidential Decree No. 198, as amended with Conditional Certificate of Conformance (CCC) #496 issued on September 26, 1990.

Maramag Water District’s Policy making body consists of Five (5) members of the Board of Directors, with representation from the Women’s Sector, Civic Sector, Professional Sector, Education Sector and Business Sector, and the incumbent members are as follows:

Maramag Water District is managed by its General Manager, Mrs. Rosemarie D. Agustin, MGA and Two (2) Division Managers namely Engr. Victor R. Panganiban of the Operations & Engineering Services Division, and Mrs. Divina G. Abriol of the Administration& General Services, Finance & Commercial Services Division.

Maramag Water District Management is covered with the laws, mandates, rules and regulations of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA), Civil Service Commission (CSC), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Commission on Audit (COA), National Water Resources Board (NWRB).

Maramag Water District is a partner in development of the Local Government Unit of Maramag through water service.

Maramag Water District was categorized as Small WD and was categorized into Average WD in the year 2003 with Two (2) Section Chiefs, and in November 18, 2011, pursuant to DBM Circular Letter (CL) No. 2011–10, the implementing guidelines on the Revised Local Water District Manual on Categorization, Re–categorization and other Related Matters (LWD–MaCRO), it was categorized as CATEGORY C
